Álvaro joined LOW Associates in May 2023 as Senior Account Executive, Communications.

With over 5 years of experience in communications, Álvaro’s areas of expertise include corporate and institutional communications, social media management, public relations, project management and content marketing. 

Before joining LOW, Álvaro was the Communications Officer of both the European Dairy Association (EDA) and the European Whey Processors Association (EWPA).

Prior to that, Álvaro worked as Social Media Coordinator of EURACTIV. There, he was responsible for the social media presence of the company and contributed to the promotion and distribution of EURACTIV content across multiple channels. Previously, Álvaro was a trainee at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where he helped manage the EESC social media accounts. 

Before moving to Brussels, Álvaro was based in Madrid and held various positions in communications. In Madrid, he worked at the Spanish Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF), a member of the EU Independent Fiscal Institutions’ network. 

Álvaro has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Carlos III University of Madrid and studied for one semester in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) as part of his Erasmus+ experience.

He is a Spanish native speaker, speaks English fluently and has a good understanding of French.
