Our Environmental Policy Mission Statement
We recognise that we have a responsibility to the environment which extends beyond our legal and regulatory obligations. We believe it pays to be ‘green’, and environmental considerations form an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. We are constantly committed to reducing our environmental footprint, and continually improve and review our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. We encourage our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to do the same.
Karen Clements, Deputy CEO and Director of Campaigns, is responsible for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented on all contracts. However, all LOW employees and Associates are mindful of our policy and share a responsibility to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met in their respective areas.

Policy Aims
We minimise the use of paper within our offices, as well as at all our client events.
We reduce packaging as much as possible.
We seek to buy only recycled and recyclable paper products.
We reuse and recycle all paper waste.
Paper
We seek to reduce our amount of energy and water consumption as much as possible.
Lights and electrical equipment are switched off when not in use.
Heating is adjusted with energy consumption in mind.
The energy consumption, efficiency and life-cycle of products will be taken into account when purchasing any new office equipment.
Energy & Water
Before purchasing any equipment, we first evaluate if the need can be met in another way.
We consider the environmental impact of any new products we intend to purchase.
We always favour environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient products.
We always strive to prevent unnecessary waste and optimise resource efficiency.
We always reuse, repurpose and recycle wherever possible
Office Supplies
We reduce the need to travel, and only do so where necessary.
We promote tools such as e-mail or video/phone conferencing as an alternative to travel.
We will make additional efforts to accommodate the needs of those using public transport or bicycles. All our employees avoid cars when travelling to our offices, instead favouring public transport and bicycles wherever possible
We favour ‘green’ vehicles and maintain them rigorously to ensure maximum efficiency.
Transportation
All cleaning materials will be non-toxic and as environmentally friendly as possible.
Materials used in office refurbishment will be as environmentally friendly as possible.
We will only use licensed and appropriate organisations to dispose of waste.
Maintenance & Cleaning
We will comply with and exceed all relevant regulatory requirements.
We will continually improve and monitor our environmental performance.
We will continually improve and reduce our environmental impact.
We will incorporate environmental factors into business decisions.
We will increase employee awareness of environmental considerations.
We will review this policy and any related business issues at our monthly management meetings.
Monitoring & Improvement
We will involve staff and Associates in the implementation of this policy, for greater commitment and improved performance.
We will update this policy at least once annually in consultation with staff and other stakeholders where necessary.
We will work with suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors to improve their environmental performance.
We will use local labour and materials where available to reduce CO₂ and help the community.
