LOW delivers another successful SME Assembly event in Budapest

Brussels, 18 November 2024

Budapest played host to yet another highly successful SME Assembly, expertly organised by us, LOW Associates, on behalf of European Commission’s DG GROW, the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), and the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As Europe’s premier event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the SME Assembly once again exceeded expectations, bringing together key stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss pressing challenges and opportunities within the SME ecosystem.

The 2024 SME Assembly witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with 668 in-person attendees and 409 online participants, amounting to a total of 1,077 delegates. Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming the SME Assembly’s significance as a key platform for dialogue, innovation, and networking among European SMEs.

I have no words to describe the extraordinary organisation of the European SME Assembly”, said a participant from Portugal.

Many of the Assembly’s sessions received outstanding ratings for relevance and usefulness, especially the newly introduced ‘Meet the Expert’ sessions, which have been exceptionally well received, reinforcing our commitment to fostering expert-led, in-depth discussions on SME-related topics.

European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) – A Celebration of Innovation

The highly anticipated European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) ceremony was another standout feature of the Assembly. This year’s participants described it as “fabulous, amazing, and inspiring.” The event successfully showcased some of the most innovative entrepreneurship initiatives from across Europe, reaffirming the importance of recognising and supporting enterprise promotion at national, regional, and local levels.

Seamless Organisation and Logistics

Once again, we demonstrated our expertise in event management, ensuring a flawlessly executed Assembly. Participants praised the exceptional venue, smooth registration process, and high-quality on-site support. The electronic badging system and event app facilitated seamless networking and engagement. Additionally, social media coverage of the SME Assembly saw significant engagement, particularly on LinkedIn, which recorded an impressive 14.32% engagement rate, far surpassing industry benchmarks.
