LOW takes the lead in WESHARE’s clean energy transformation initiative

Brussels, 28 October 2024

LOW Associates is proud to announce its pivotal role in the WESHARE project, a groundbreaking European initiative co-funded by the EU’s LIFE Programme. As the lead organisation for communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement, LOW Associates will ensure that WESHARE’s mission and impact reach the widest possible audience, fostering a strong business-led movement towards sustainable energy solutions.

The WESHARE project is designed to empower businesses in European industrial parks to develop and implement energy community models. With a focus on collaboration, the initiative supports companies in sharing renewable energy resources, improving efficiency, and contributing to the EU’s ambitious climate goals of reducing carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

LOW Associates will play a critical role in amplifying the success of WESHARE’s pilot initiatives in Belgium, Spain, and Portugal. These pilots are testing innovative energy-sharing solutions, creating scalable models that can be replicated across Europe. Through targeted communication strategies—including social media campaigns, newsletters, and high-profile events—LOW Associates will ensure that key stakeholders, from policymakers to industry leaders, are engaged and informed about the project’s progress and impact.

“WESHARE is an exciting opportunity for LOW Associates to leverage our expertise in communication and stakeholder engagement to drive real change in the energy sector,” said Viltė Kaminskaitė, Director of Operations and Secretariats at LOW Associates. “By promoting knowledge-sharing and collaboration, we aim to inspire businesses across Europe to adopt more sustainable energy practices.”

Key Contributions by LOW Associates

  • Strategic Outreach: Implementing a multi-channel communication strategy, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and the Futurium platform, to engage businesses, policymakers, and energy experts.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Producing high-quality content such as videos, infographics, and reports to showcase best practices and tangible benefits of energy-sharing communities.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organising events, webinars, and networking opportunities to connect key players in the energy sector and facilitate meaningful discussions on clean energy transition.

  • Policy Integration: Aligning WESHARE’s findings with EU sustainability initiatives, ensuring that the project contributes to broader climate action goals.

Another element of LOW Associates’ contribution to WESHARE has been the creation of the project’s visual identity from scratch. This work has ensured a strong, cohesive brand presence across all communication materials, including logos, colour schemes, and design templates. This branding strategy plays a vital role in making WESHARE’s message recognisable and impactful, enhancing engagement with stakeholders and reinforcing the project's professional image. The development of WESHARE’s visual identity is a compelling case study in branding for sustainability-focused initiatives, demonstrating how effective design can elevate the visibility and credibility of an EU-backed project.

The project’s communication and dissemination strategy, spearheaded by LOW Associates, aims to not only raise awareness but also drive tangible action among businesses. The #WESHARE, We All Win campaign will highlight success stories, encouraging widespread adoption of energy-sharing practices across Europe.

Through its role in WESHARE, LOW Associates reinforces its commitment to supporting European businesses in their transition towards cleaner, more efficient energy use. The project represents a significant step in advancing Europe’s Green Deal objectives and positioning energy collaboration as a key driver for sustainability.
